The Figure Skating Interclub of Greater St. Louis has officially launched following months of collaborative planning, bringing together skating clubs and programs from across the metropolitan area under one unified organization.
The Figure Skating Interclub of Greater St. Louis is excited to announce plans for its first official social event – a skating session at the Barn at Centene Community Ice Center!
Exciting changes are on the horizon for the St. Louis skating community as two of our area’s most beloved rinks, Kirkwood Ice Rink and Steinberg Rink, prepare for major transformations. While both projects aim to modernize facilities and improve the skater experience, each brings unique updates to our local ice landscape.
Your child just watched the Olympics, or maybe they saw someone spinning gracefully at the local rink, and now they’re begging to try figure skating. As a parent, you’re probably wondering: Where do I even start? How much does this cost? Do they really need their own skates right away? Take a deep breath. Figure skating is an incredible sport that builds strength, discipline, and confidence, and the St. Louis area has a welcoming skating community ready to help your family get started.
U.S. Figure Skating announced the schedule for the 2026-27 National Qualifying Series. This series includes singles, pairs, and ice dance competitions. Almost 1,500 skaters from around the country will compete at 21 different events. The series starts in July and goes through October. The National Qualifying Series Finals happen in November.
